Ice climbing, an activity performed original and sensations

The icefall is a discipline derived from climbing. It is to climb up ice formations, like the frozen waterfalls in winter or the sides of glaciers as ducts or corridors that can be done in the summer if conditions are good (the crevasses are generally not recommended because they are very fragile ).

This discipline is considered extremely dangerous and is not recommended for beginners. It requires considerable experience to assess the state of the ice varies with temperature: very cold temperatures make the ice hard and brittle, while warmer temperatures give an ice wetter and "soft" ("sorbet "). The variations in temperature can make dangerous stunts with a risk of collapse.
